"I'm not dead yet!"

Regardless of how it feels here on Every Store Needs One, I am not dead. The birth of my first child has stolen any free time I had. I have been working on some stuff, but just lack the time to post anything.

I am trying to reduce my collection a bit, and narrow my armies down to those I "really" want to keep and work on. Originally that meant that I was going to be selling my IG and my Black Templar, but the more I read in the Horus Heresy forgeworld book the more I think IG will be the only casualty. Eldar are one of old flames, and I have always been a fan of Emperors Children. So it seems I will be breaking apart my Templar and using what I can to make a loyalist version of Emperor's Children to mirror my current Chaos project.

EsnO Turns Two!

My my how time flies. Two years ago I thought it would be neat to start a blog and share some of the useless knowledge I had floating around in my head. Two years and over 100 posts later I am still at it. That's right, Every Store Needs One turns two! The post are much farther in between, but I still try to share what I am working on with those of you who stop by.

I want to take a moment to apologize for the lack of content, as well as thank everyone for taking the time to stop in and see what I have to offer. Unfortunately, real life has affected the blog in the same manner as it has my hobby time. I don't have a ton of time to work on projects, but when I do I try to make sure they are here for all of you to take a look at. Here's hoping for another year, and maybe some more time to share my projects with you.

Fiends of Slaanesh conversion: Need Some Input

Just like many in this hobby, I have many armies. One of my favorite to play, well used to be, was my Emporer's Children army. With the release of the current codex, the style of that army was never the same and I stopped playing it.

Fast forward to the release of 6th edition and the inclusion of allies. Now all those lovely Slaanesh daemons that have been taunting me, are now able to be included in a EC army. Even with the renewed joy of playing my Children, I still have a small problem. The current model GW makes for Fiends of Slaanesh are hideous. I can not state in words how much I dislike them. They have a great profile though. So I have to come up with a replacement. I decided to use Tyranid Ravagers as the base with a bit of work to convert them into some thing depraved enough. Here is the pics, afterwards my thoughts.....

WoK Piggie: Final

I managed to finish up the piggie I have been working on. I am fairly pleased with where this model ended up. I did not finish the base because I am unsure where this one will ultimately end up. If I end up actually playing this game and build this force, I will want him based the same as the other models so I did not base him at this time.

My ability with the true metallic metals is still evolving. On uneven surfaces I am ok, but I know my work on large flat areas (such as the swords on the back) still need a lot of work, I am just not really sure how. For now they are done.

Wrath of Kings WiP: Part III

Managed a productive weekend of painting relatively speaking. Managed get the metallics finished and the back padding of the throne is done. At this point I need to decide what color I am going to use for the horns, tabbard, hooves, and body of the dwarf.

As for the metallics, I feel ok with where they are at. I am still learning the true metal metallic methods, and it is coming along.

Of course, more pics after jump...
