More WIP: Converted Eldrad...Getting closer

Well, as with most of my projects now it seems this one is going to take me forever to finish. At least with this one I have something to push me a bit. I have started this for a March challenge over at DragonPainting forums. Well entries are due on Sunday night at midnight. So I need to finish this up by then.

 Since the last time you saw this I cleaned up a few things and tried to block out most of the colors so I could see what some things look like. I also fought with the free hand on the back. I wanted to do something larger and still may, but I could not get anything I liked. Hopefully you like what you see.

Here are some more WIPs of my converted Eldrad. The change in style has really challenged me when it comes to metallics. I am still not 100% sure what I am doing but I feel like I am stumbling in the right direction.

Wave Serpent Turret Conversion

So we are doing a build up for Ard Boys at our FLGS again this year and this year I will be working (or reworking) on my Eldar. Well almost any incarnation of an Eldar list I can come up with at this point is going to need at least one or two Wave Serpents. I do not really like the stock turret. I like the Forgeworld one, but since there is a good chance I will need several serpents for any larger list I did not want to go about paying $15-$20 to buy the turrets. So, I figured my only option was to make them.

Moving along with WIP: Converted Eldrad painting pt. 3

Got some work done on this and have made some progress. I moved to the shoulder armor and I tend to use this as a location to bring the red from the army scheme into the mini. The cloak on the back is going to remain a darker red and might even get some brown added to it. The helmet is just getting started and I intend for it to eventually look like the rune armor.

Here it is.... Not much change at this point. Mainly worked the Rune armor and a few other things. I really have only had an hour or so to actually work on him.

WIP: My Eldrad Conversion

     Well slowly but surely I am getting something done. I started this model for a monthly painting challenge over at the Dragonpainting forums. The theme is simply sci-fi. Since I already have my Howling Banshee Exarch pretty much finished I decided to start something new.
